Chapter 1
The Sound of the Shell
Piggie’s Adventure
Its time to journal a very important part of my life, a time full of danger and fear, I time that I may have regretted. 10 years ago there was a massive war by the name of World War 2. The name of this war strikes fear into many hearts, spreading much pallor, but alas I’m not supposed to be talking about a war, not at all. I find it hard to go back to a bleak time of my life, an enormity, but I will have to. Now in the middle of the great world war I was sent away from London, my home and was going somewhere safe, but somehow the plane was attacked and I ended up in a strange uninhibited island. At first it was full of glamour, with a scar shaped landmark going though the island. Soon I met a boy by the name of Ralph, and soon we become friends. Now to tell you the truth I made mistake number one right there. I told this Ralph about a nickname I had in school, called Piggy. At first Ralph was incredulous, but then he began to snigger. Although I was offended I went along. I learned that Ralph must have been from the plane that was attacked, and there were surprisingly no adults! At first the news seemed good! We quickly found this spectacular conch shell! Ralph blew into it and before we knew it boys were crowding around us. Some of the boys were from a church group called the choir. They were led by a boy named Jack, and were employed as hunters. Although I disliked them, I got fine pretty well, until Ralph reveled my sacred secret! I was incredulous! Now that was a horrid time of my life, but then we were to elect leaders, because he shamed me I did not want to have Ralph as a leader, but seeing the majority was against me I was forced to vote for Ralph! Now I conclude my first section of my journal.
